Masterton and Solway Bike Rack Installations
Description
Cyclists that take the train need an option for safe, secure bike parking. These bike shelters have been installed across other stations on the network and Metlink will provide Masterton and Solway cyclists with 16 bicycle parking spaces per station.
Benefits
This project will increase bike storage facilities at Masterton and Solway railway stations, with a purpose-built, three-sided shelter and rack system. These bike storage facilities will be covered by dedicated lights and CCTV.
Customer Impact
- Minimal disruption is expected at Masterton Station, with site fencing near the access ramp.
- No disruption is expected at Solway. Disruption will be limited to the shelter installation which would only be a short time and will have minimal to no impact on customers.

Full implementation funding has been received from the Transport Choices programme. This project is in progress and on schedule.
