Wellington Harbour Ferries
Wellington Harbour Ferries provide services between Queens Wharf and Days Bay. You can buy tickets on board or at the East by West ticket office at Queens Wharf. Opening hours and information about payment options are available on their website.
Mātiu/Somes Island is closed from 19 February 2023 for approximately 6 to 8 months for wharf improvements. There are no ferry services to the island during these works.
Ferries no longer serve the Petone Wharf, which was damaged during an earthquake.
East By West will not be resuming services from Days Bay into Seatoun. They are currently looking into the feasibility of resuming services from Queens Wharf to Seatoun, and will update when they have made a decision.

There is limited access on the ferries for passengers using mobility aids, such as wheelchairs. Please phone East By West ferries on 04 499 1282 or email info@eastbywest.co.nz before travelling.
Bikes and dogs on leads are permitted on the ferry between Queens Wharf and Days Bay, but must remain on the upper deck.

Queens Wharf to Days Bay
Tickets for trips between Queens Wharf & Days Bay cannot be used to travel to Mātiu/Somes Island. Children under 13 travel free. SuperGold cardholders(external link) travel free during off-peak hours(external link), but still need to collect a ticket from the ticket office if it is open.
*Connect Concession includes those passengers under 25 years of age, and those with a valid Community Services Card.
