Tranzit wins Gold at Wellington Gold Awards

Congratulations to Tranzit Group, the provider of Metlink bus services in Wairarapa, on its recent win at the annual Wellington Gold Awards.

The Gold Awards celebrate the excellence and enterprise of business in the Wellington region.

Tranzit won the 2014 Supporting Gold Award for professional services and Infrastructure, in association with Beca. It acknowledges the economic contribution Tranzit has made to the Greater Wellington region over 90 years and four generations.

Tranzit’s Managing Director, Paul Snelgrove said, “We are a nationwide company but our head office and roots remain in the Greater Wellington region, a region that has supported us and helped us grow over 90 years, from one school bus to 600 vehicles, several staff to 600 loyal employees.”

“We are humbled to be recognised. It is an immense achievement for our family and our team and is the result of the passion and dedication from everyone in our Group from drivers, workshop to administration staff.”

Wayne Hastie, Greater Wellington Regional Council’s Public Transport General Manager, endorsed Tranzit’s contribution to the Wellington region. “We really value, in particular, the great contribution Tranzit makes to public transport in Wairarapa. This award is well deserved, we congratulate them warmly and wish them all the best for the future.”
