Changes to your Wairarapa Services - 13 January 2014

You’ll have noticed the SE carriages are roomier and now have tables in some of the seating areas.  These changes were made in response to customer feedback we received when the SE carriages came into service on the Wairarapa line last year. 

To create more space for customers we’ve had to remove some seats from each carriage. To ensure we still have sufficient seating available we have increased the size of the train from five to six carriages.

Previously, we ran a five-carriage service and kept one carriage out of service for maintenance and repair. Now, when a carriage needs maintenance or repairs it will be withdrawn from service and there will be reduced seating. When this happens we will try to give you as much notice as possible.

Also, some changes have been made to the fortnightly SE and SW train schedule that are effective from Monday 13 January 2014.
