Park and Ride

Park and Ride is a car park at or near railway stations where you can park your car for free then catch the train.

There are no parking fees.

Disabled car parks

There are at least two disabled car parks in each Park and Ride (excluding Taita, Takapu Road and Mana stations). Disabled car park spaces are provided proportionately to the total number of car parking spaces at Park and Ride stations.

Priority Parking for Carpoolers

You will notice some changes at some Park and Ride car parks.
Greater Wellington Regional Council is trialling carpool parking spaces in preferred parking areas.

They are reserved for anyone with two or more people arriving at the station car park who all intend to continue their journey on the train.

Look out for the special Carpoolers parking sign at your Park and Ride car park.
