Cockayne Road Closure – Bus Detours in Place

When

• From Monday 8 June.
• Buses will detour 24/7.
• We will update this information once a confirmed end date is available.

Bus impact

• Route 25, School 746 and Night Bus N4 will be detoured.
• Multiple bus stops closed on Cockayne Rd, Perth St, Punjab St, Waru St and Calcutta St.
• Please refer to the detour map below for more details.

What is happening?

• Urgent repairs required of an existing watermains at approx. 256 Cockayne Rd.
• Works requires significant excavation of the road.
• A bus trial was conducted; it was established that due to the extensive works required on Cockayne Rd, buses were unable to pass through the site safely.
