Setting up a My Metlink account means that you can make the most of the information in our website to help you get around Wellington on public transport.

With a My Metlink account you can:

  • Set up your favourite bus stops or train stations so real time information appears on the home page each time you visit
  • Set up favourite locations to make journey planning faster

You can also subscribe to get the latest updates on train, bus and harbour ferry services, including:

  • Emails on alerts and service updates for your bus, train and harbour ferry services services
  • Train or ferry alerts via text messages
  • Email reminders for online monthly train pass purchases
  • Information on new Metlink services
  • Information on Greater Wellington Regional Council activities.

To set up your My Metlink account just click on "Create an account" in the top right hand corner of the home page or go to www.metlink.org.nz/my-metlink.

We have added the option to login using your Facebook account so you don't have to remember another username and password.

Unsubscribing from alerts

You can login to your My Metlink account to quickly unsubscribe from emails and text messages by unticking the boxes.

You can click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of a Metlink email.

To unsubscribe from text messages you can text QUIT to 3696.
