txtBUS terms and conditions


The txtBUS text messaging timetable service is provided by Greater Wellington Regional Council (GW) Transport and is available to Telecom, 2 degrees and Vodafone customers.

Information provided

  • The txtBUS service provides timetable information with approximate times. It does not deliver real time information, including advice on whether a service is running early or late.
  • Passengers should arrive at their bus stop well ahead of the stated time. All information provided is subject to change. While we do our best to provide up to date information on services operated, we are unable to take responsibility for any cancellations, delays or other incidents, which may occur, however these may be caused.
  • In compiling the information accessed via the GW txtBUS SMS timetable application, GW and its service provider have used their best endeavours to ensure that the information is correct and current at the time of transmission but take no responsibility for any error, omission or defect therein.
  • To the extent permitted by law, GW and its employees, agents and consultants exclude all liability for any loss or damage (including indirect, special or consequential loss or damage) arising from the use of, or reliance on, the information whether or not caused by any negligent act or omission. If any law prohibits the exclusion of such liability, GW limits its liability to the fullest extent permitted.

 Charges

  • All text messages to txtBUS cost 20 cents (including GST) and are not included in any free text allowances/special offers (ie Telecom $10 txt or Vodafone free weekends).
  • All charges are billed by the respective mobile phone network providers. For all billing issues contact your service provider.

Delivery

  • The txtBUS SMS is not a guaranteed service. GW and its service providers cannot accept responsibility for any SMS messages not received, any SMS reply message or for any delay in the delivery of the SMS message due to technical disruptions, network congestion, network failures or for any other reason.
