Petone On-Ramp Closure - 7 - 9 February 2012

NZTA have scheduled roadworks that will close the Petone SH2 on-ramp to all traffic over three nights – from Tuesday 7 February to Thursday 9 February 2012. This will affect Route 83 and Route 91 southbound services only. Please see below or read the map for further diversion information.

When: 9.00pm to 5.00am from Tuesday 7 February to Thursday 9 February 2012.

Affected routes: 83 and 91

Route 83: Southbound
From Jackson Street, turning right into Hutt Road and travel north to the Dowse Interchange. Turn right from Hutt Road into the Interchange and take the southbound off-ramp onto State Highway 2. Continue south until usual route resumes.

Route 91: Southbound
Usual route from Cuba Street into Jackson Street, however, instead of turning left into Fitzherbert Street, continue along Jackson Street to the Jackson Street roundabout, turn right into Hutt Road and travel north to the Dowse Interchange. Turn right from Hutt Road into the Interchange and take the southbound off-ramp onto State Highway 2. Continue south until usual route resumes.

Closed Bus Stops: Stop #8001 – Te Puni Mail Centre

Passengers will be directed to Jackson Street - Kathmandu (Stop #8002).

Buses replace trains: Kapiti line

There’s still more work to be done upgrading the Wellington rail network. As a result, buses will be replacing some evening trains on the Kapiti line.

Between Waikanae and Porirua:

To Wellington - southbound:
Departing Waikanae from 7.30pm to 11.00pm.

To Waikanae - northbound:
Departing Paekakariki at 7.30pm and 8.00pm.
Departing Porirua from 8.05pm to 11.35pm.

Please allow extra time for travel when bus replacement is offered.
Planned disruptions are required for the Wellington Rail Network major upgrade and maintenance.

7.04am Hutt Valley train line service cancelled - 15 November 2011

The weekday 7.04am service from Upper Hutt to Wellington is cancelled from Tuesday 15 November 2011 until further notice.

There will be extra capacity on the 7.00am and 7.18am weekday services from Upper Hutt to Wellington.

This service is cancelled due to ongoing mechanical faults with the ageing locomotives.

A free shuttle bus will run between Wellington Railway Station and the centre – stopping at all bus stops along the Number 2 route via Courtenay Place, the bus tunnel and Hataitai. The shuttle will start at 9.30am and run every half hour until 2pm. The last bus will leave the station at 2pm and the centre at 3.3

Reduced capacity on two peak services from Tuesday 7 February

Due to extensive mechanical issues with the English Electric trains and customer calls for more service consistency, there will be planned disruptions with buses assisting two peak services on weekday mornings from Tuesday the 7th of February until Monday the 19thy of March.

There will be reduced capacity on the following train services and to assist buses will travel from Johnsonville and Crofton Downs Stations express to Wellington Station

To assist the 7:46am train from Johnsonville Station

A bus will leave from the train replacement bus stop at 7:46am from Johnsonville Station
A bus will leave from the train replacement bus stop at 8:00am from Johnsonville Station

To assist the 7:59am train from Johnsonville Station

A bus will leave from the Train Replacement Bus Stop at 7:59am from Johnsonville Station

Matangi will start operating on the Johnsonville line following the morning peak on Monday 19 March 2012 when all English Electrics will be removed from this line.
